My projects
My first project was with the Broadview Holding finance team. I was responsible for the implementation of a new reporting tool, which was a great experience. It required detailed planning and a lot of coordination between various parties involved in the process. In the end, the tool was successfully implemented, and I believe it will be of great help to the company when preparing future annual reports.
I then moved to Germany, where I’m currently working for Westag AG, focusing on exploring possible automation tools and therefore increasing the quality of the reports.
Training days
So far, I’ve had three of four training sessions, and each of them has managed to positively surprise me. We cover the practical knowledge that’s useful in the workplace, and they also bring a lot of value to my everyday interactions.
Learning curve
During the ITP I was immediately put in a position with a lot of responsibility. I acted as the head of a project and quickly realized I needed to be the person who shows initiative in gathering information and setting deadlines. It’s not an easy process, especially the first time around, but it has given me plenty of incredible opportunities to learn and develop my skills.
Work with a senior management
Both of my projects so far have been directly supervised by senior management, which has given me direct access to the people making crucial decisions in the company. As a person who likes to delve deep into the details and numbers, it gives me a completely different perspective to take a step back, look at a broader picture of the business and see how many moving parts there are.
